What is Quincy?

“As an adult we gain better insight to how our childhood makes us who we are.  It was growing up in the household of a family construction business that molded me to what I am today.  No matter what time of day, my family lived Quincy Development Company.  All day the phone was answered as a business line, and most evenings my father spent returning phone calls after a day in the field.  Summers, weekends and snow days were Dad, Scott and me visiting job sites, crowded in a pickup truck, earning good pay for mostly dirty jobs.  As an adult I now know Mom was so much more than a stay-at-home Mom, she ran the back office of QDC.

It had been over 20 years since my parents had closed that business, almost as long since I uttered the word ‘QUINCY’.  But on an evening in 2010, beside my husband in our kayaks, I was reminded how I became who I am today, and Quincy CFO got its name.”
